Circle R Farms Dorset Wool
I'm very excited to have Circle R wool in the collection! It's a sturdy, rustic, bouncy yarn that's a gorgeous creamy ecru colour. Romy and Ryan of Circle R are proud members of the Upper Canada Fibreshed, and are committed to the soil to soil fibre movement (find out more about Fibreshed here). Circle R started as a livestock farm and, like many who raise sheep for meat, found that their bountiful wool was a waste product. So they decided to do something about it! Romy and Ryan now mill all of their sheep's fleeces in a Michigan mill (which is still inside the fibreshed), and have created a beautiful product from something that was once disposed of.

Please note that, as a farm yarn, Circle R Dorset Wool has more lanolin on it than the average store bought yarn. Also, you may find small pieces of vegetation- it's a sign that sheep are being sheep, grazing outdoors among plants. They can easily be picked out as you work. Weight and yardage may also vary slightly.
